About Us
Optimize My Ride is led by cycling coach Ross Machejefski.
There are many reasons that drove Ross to develop Optimize My Ride. Passionate about the sport, he wants cycling events to continue to thrive in New Zealand, and for more people to get involved with this great sport. Ross’s professional experience in cycling began as a rider over 25 years ago, following that he taught kids throughout Canterbury how to get to school safely. He then went on to coach New Zealand junior cycling teams for five years, before heading into the elite space on track and road. Ross joined the Switzerland Endurance Elite Track Cycling Programme, and later returned to New Zealand to lead the Women’s Endurance Track Cycling Team to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The course features other industry experts including Physiotherapist Justin Ralph, Bike Mechanic Chris O’Connor and Olympians Regan Gough and Jessie Hodges.
This course has been developed from a desire to reach a large audience in an interactive way so that cyclists can benefit from expert knowledge, skills and advice on how to get the most out of their cycling journey. We want you to have a better, safer training and event experience.
Enjoy the ride!
